Feel Good about your oral health

At Feel Good Dental we firmly believe that prevention is far better than a cure when it comes to looking after your oral health.

Regular dental check-ups enable your dentist to spot any signs of damage or decay to your teeth at the earliest stage, preventing any extensive treatment being needed. We’ll also take time to reinforce good oral hygiene habits during your appointment, so that you and your family can enjoy great oral health between visits!

Prioritising your dental hygiene

Just like routine check-ups, good dental hygiene is an important part of maintaining healthy teeth and gums.

Regular visits to your dental hygienist help prevent the build-up of plaque and bacteria, reducing the risk of gum disease and tooth decay. They’ll also leave your teeth sparkling clean and your breath smelling super-fresh!

Dental fillings

While regular dental check-ups and good oral hygiene habits help prevent tooth decay, cavities do sometimes occur.Your dentist can treat these with a small filling - a simple procedure used to seal and repair decaying teeth. They’ll use a local anaesthetic to ensure you are comfortable throughout the treatment and can give you the option for white or tooth-coloured fillings, that blend in with your smile.

What does a dental check-up include?

During your check-up we'll take digital AI-guided X-rays and 3D Scans to give an accurate diagnosis, check for signs of gum disease and carry out an oral cancer screening, for your complete peace of mind.

How often do you need a dentist check-up?

We recommend that most patients visit us every six months, for an appointment, so your dentist can assess the overall health of your teeth and gums.

If my dentist recommends treatment, can I have it at the same appointment?

If your dental check-up reveals that treatment may be needed, your dentist will explain their decision to you, and advise on the most suitable solution. We will then invite you to make a further appointment to receive the agreed treatment, on a date and time to suit you. Our team will also be able to discuss the range of finance options available at Feel Good Dental, so you can receive the private dental treatment you need without the worry over cost.

I’m nervous about visiting the dentist, can you help?

Anxiety or fear about visiting the dentist is more common than you may think. While that means you’re not alone, it also means that at Feel Good Dental, we are very experienced in treating patients who may be nervous or anxious. Before your dental check-up appointment why not come in for a tour, meet the team and see our relaxed, comfortable surroundings? Our patients tell us that this really helps calm those nerves.

Are dental X-rays safe?

Modern dental X-rays use very low levels of radiation, making them a very safe and effective tool for your dentist. With the latest technology at our Croydon practice, they are quick and comfortable too, giving your dentist all the information they need to analyse your oral health.
