We understand that not everyone looks forward to a trip to the dentist and feeling nervous before an appointment is completely natural.

Our friendly team of dental professionals go above and beyond to make sure our nervous or anxious patients are comfortable and well looked after throughout their appointment at Feel Good Dental.

If you require treatment, your dentist will discuss local anaesthetic and sedation options with you, prioritising your comfort and ensuring you feel at ease.

Common questions about Feel Good Dental

Where is the practice based?

You can find us at 263 Lower Addiscombe Road, Croydon, CR0 6RD. Our practice is conveniently located close to Addiscombe tram stop and a short bus or tram ride from East Croydon Station. There is free on-street parking directly outside the practice too, so we’re easy to reach however you’re travelling to us.

What are the practice opening hours?

We’re open weekdays from 9am to 6pm, with a late night until 8pm on Wednesdays. We know our patients sometimes find a weekend appointment more convenient, so we’re open on Saturdays, from 8am to 12pm.

What catchment areas do you serve?

We see patients from all over Croydon, in particular East Croydon, Addiscombe, West Wickham and Shirley. We serve the whole of the CR0 and CR2 postcodes, so do call us if you or your family need private dental treatment.

I have a dental emergency, can you help?

If you need to see a dentist urgently, please call us and we’ll do our best to see emergency patients on the same day. If you require emergency dental treatment in Croydon outside of our opening hours, you will find more information on our answer phone.

Can you help if I am a nervous patient?

Dental anxiety is more common than you may think and our dental team is experienced at helping nervous patients overcome their fear of the dentist. You can come in for a coffee and a chat about your dental concerns prior to booking a dental examination, to get to know us and familiarise yourself with our modern, comfortable practice. We’ll always take things at a pace you’re comfortable with, taking the time to understand your needs and helping you to relax.

Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes, we do, and for added convenience we also offer new patients a free initial remote consultation. This and the new patient consultation in-practice here in Croydon help our dentists get to know you, discuss what treatments you’re interested in and check your suitability.

How much will my appointment cost?

Your first appointment with us at Feel Good Dental will cost £75. During this appointment your dentist will take an X-ray of your mouth, check the health of your teeth and gums and provide an oral screening. If they feel you would benefit from further treatment, your dentist will discuss your options with you, and advise the recommended frequency of further dental check-ups.

Do you offer payment or finance options?

Yes, we are pleased to offer interest-free finance for dental treatments at Feel Good Dental. This allows you to spread the cost of the treatment you want or need, making private dental care affordable.

How often should I have a dental check-up?

We usually recommend that patients have a dental check-up with us every six to 12 months. This enables your dentist to monitor your oral health and make sure that we catch any minor issues before they turn into big, costly ones.

What happens during a dental hygiene appointment?

Seeing our dental hygienist here in Croydon regularly is great for keeping your gums healthy and giving your teeth a thorough, deep clean. We will assess the health of your gums and check for plaque build-up and gum disease, carry out a deep clean and scale to remove any plaque. They’ll finish with a polish, leaving your mouth sparkling clean and feeling (and smelling) good!

What are Invisalign aligners?

Invisalign aligners are an alternative to traditional fixed metal braces. Rather than a single appliance worn throughout treatment, Invisalign features a series of custom-made clear plastic aligners that straighten teeth over a period of time. The aligners are removable for eating and drinking, comfortable and nearly invisible, offering a discreet teeth straightening option for our Croydon patients.

How do Invisalign aligners straighten teeth?

Your Feel Good Dental dentist will create a unique digital treatment plan that will accurately predict the movement of your teeth. Each Invisalign aligner is designed to apply just the right amount of force, at the right time, gently moving your teeth into their new straight position for a feel good smile to be proud of.

Who is Invisalign treatment for?

Invisalign can be a suitable teeth straightening treatment for teens and adults. Invisalign is a discreet way of fixing many common bite issues, while fitting in with a busy lifestyle. If you want straighter teeth with minimum hassle, speak to our Invisalign dentist at Feel Good Dental to see if Invisalign is right for you.

Is Invisalign treatment expensive?

Each patient’s needs are different; our dentist will determine how complex your case is and how many aligners you need, which in turn will determine the cost of your Invisalign treatment. At Feel Good Dental we are pleased to offer flexible payment options, so you can spread the cost of treatment. Give us a call to make an enquiry.
